The museum is the collection of Diana Bell, a watch and clock repairer from Northumberland who grew up helping her father George Ellis in his own repair business, and from whom she learned her trade.
The 'Mr George the Clock Man Stories' written by Diana inspired
the name for the museum.

The museum collection
The history of time
Explore the wide selection of mechanical timepieces, keys, tools and parts dating from the 18th century all the way through to the late 20th century. Many of these were inherited by Diana from her father George Ellis.
Lots of the watches and clocks on display are types and styles which were repaired every day by Diana and her father, as well as some older and also rather unusual ones! You may spot some types you recognise or even used to own yourself!
If you are visiting us for a watch or clock repair, you can view the collection while you wait!
